All regulations, policies and rules set forth by a Consumer Directed Personal Assistant agency or program apply and must be adhered to by ALL CONSUMERS and PA's participating in and accessing www.PACONNECT.info.
All Postings and listings must contain the consumers full name followed by their consumer ID number as designated and issued by a New York State *CDPAP.
Only consumers enrolled in a CDPAP can post/list and access PACONNECT.
The following are for suggestion purposes only and may be helpful to you, the consumer in connecting with an appropriate PA to meet your needs.
(1) A consumer can include when (day(s) of week and/or specific hours) they need PA services.
(2) You can identify a location such as borough or neighborhood.
(3) You can post as a "situation wanted" such as "fill-in", "back up", "part time", "temporary" or "permanent" position(s).
***Reminder: A "fill-in" or "back-up" position is usually an uncovered shift that regularly employed PA's working for a consumer can not cover. A PA that is familar with your service needs may be the best in this type of situation.
(4) "Emergency" slots can include and identify specific hours or length of service so that a PA is prepared to stay and provide services.
***It may also be helpful to inform a PA beforehand of any specialized care needs required.
(5) Consumers who do not have computer access can "buddy up" with someone who does (either another consumer or another PA) to post and search on PACONNECT.
